This privacy policy explains how and its owners, LeaderTreks, handle information we learn about you from your visit to our website. The information we receive and what we do with it depends on what you do when you visit our site.

If you visit our site to browse, read, or download information (no user account):

We collect and store the name of the domain and host from which you access the Internet.  The Internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using; the browser software you use and your operating system; the date and time you access our site; and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site.  We use this information to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, and to help us make our site more useful. It does not reveal our users’ email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable user information.  We do use “cookies” on this site to help us with tracking purposes; you can always disable cookies in your browser settings.

If you choose to identify yourself by sending us an email via a feedback form or contact us page, or by using live chat, setting up a user account, taking a survey, or signing up for a free account (free account users):

When you choose to identify yourself to us, we will add all the information you provide to our secure customer database. and its owners, LeaderTreks, will use this information to help provide products and services that meet our customer needs. All information captured is stored in a secure environment and is kept confidential. We will send e-mails and mail marketing materials to you featuring special promotions, product information, and other news that may be of interest to you and our other customers. If you receive an email from us that you would rather not receive, simply follow the “opt-out” instructions included in the email.  To be removed from our mailing list you can contact us at 1-844-237-9456 (9:00am-5:00pmCST) to request removal.  We only share your information with third party vendors who help print and process mailings, send packages, or do order fulfillment.  We will never share or sell your information to a third party for marketing purposes without your consent.

If you make a purchase on (leader-level user accounts):  

We abide by strict e-commerce regulations and follow all the “best practices” to ensure security, so you can be assured your financial information is safe.  All your personal and organizational information will be added to our database and you will receive emails and mailings from us regularly.  You will receive receipts, order confirmations, order-tracking information, and follow-up emails after your purchase. and LeaderTreks, never stores your financial information.

If you are signed up for a account by a leader (teacher-level user accounts):

If a leader sets up a teacher account for you on the system they will use your email address to do this.  We store your email address in our system.  Teacher-level email addresses are not used for marketing purposes in any way.  You will only receive emails from regarding your account (ie: your password).

Links to Other Sites:

When users link from to another site, we may open an additional browser window for the new site.  We make every effort to link to appropriate outside sites for our users. Unlike our sites, however, these outside sites may collect personal information. Once you access a link you to another web site, you are subject to the privacy policy of the web site you are on.

We reserve the right to change this policy at any time by notifying guests of the existence of a new privacy policy.
